教育目標

本課程歷史意識(historical consciousness)的含意比一般所謂的史學思想更為寬廣，指「人人都有變遷的意識及其表述的能力」。在此前提之下，本課程除了重視歷史知識論、強調“concepts of human being”與“concepts of history”的關係，同時也扣緊現實意識和生命意識。 本課程討論的對象包含菁英的和非主流的歷史意識和歷史文化。時間上，從遠古時代的「岩畫」和「神話思維」至十八世紀「啟蒙運動」及十九世紀「浪漫運動」的歷史意識。
