教育目標

As globalization continues to grow, supply chain complexity has significantly increased. Companies are more involved in the analysis of their supply chains. Therefore, the goal of this class is to introduce key concepts of supply chain management and to explore state-of-the-art decision methods. We will look into simple techniques that can be used in analyzing and designing supply chain networks. Computer software will be utilized to simulate cases and students will experience the impact of their decision real time. We will discuss the following aspects of supply chain: procurement, operations and distribution so that students will have a thorough understanding from upstream to downstream supply chain.
