1. How to measure and quantify the effects of physical aspects found in most freshwater ecosystems such as temperature, light, pH, electrical conductivity, the total amount of solid substances dissolved in water, the dissolved oxygen content and the effects of turbidity. 2. the effects of biotic factors to freshwater systems such as bacteria, fungus, algae, and how to measure their biomass, pigment production. 3. Community interactions, basic organic matter dynamics, ecosystem process, and ecosystem assessment.
