教育目標

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: 1. Explain, with examples, the interdependence of society, environment, and economy 2. Discuss topics touching on sustainability from several different perspectives 3. Construct a logical argument regarding a topic in sustainability, e.g. electric cars and climate change 4. List and interpret definitions of sustainability, e.g. the Strong Model of Sustainability or the Daly rules, and understand why it is a contested concept 5. Analyze, summarize, and critique different opinions regarding the meaning of sustainability 6. Identify a number of institutions and organization and the actions they are taking towards more sustainable development 7. Understand the differing principles and challenges of sustainable development in rural and urban areas, as well as their interconnections
