教育目標

This course presents Microeconomic principles that explain how and why individuals and firms make economic decisions. Some examples of these decisions are: How do firms select strategies to maximize profits? How do firms write contracts that provide optimal incentives for employees? How to predict the impacts of taxes and regulations? Mathematical tools and graphs will be employed to build precise models that help to gain deeper understanding of the logical and critical thinking in economics. They will also be important foundations for advanced courses in microeconomics, such as Public Economics, Industrial Organization, and Labor Economics.
