教育目標

The objective of this course is to inspire, provide knowledge and skills to students necessary to assume active roles, both locally and globally, in building more tolerant, inclusive, sustainable and secure societies. The topics will include: leadership (characteristics of leaders, communication, networking and negotiation), sustainable development, environmental stewardship, gender equity, poverty reduction, and good governance. Students will learn what global citizens can do to address these issues within Taiwan and globally, and how to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the current environmental policies and programs.

課程概述

This course will enable students to develop knowledge, skills, and better understanding of the wider world - and their place in it. As leaders of tomorrow, young people can make a positive difference - and help build a fairer, safer, and more sustainable and secure world. The first part of the course will focus on the characteristics of leaders, and empowering of students to develop communication, networking and negotiation skills necessary for becoming leader in the contemporary society. Guided by the UNESCOs Education 2030 Agenda and Framework for Action, in particular the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on Education, the second part of the course will provide students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to effective protection, management and conservation of water, land, air and living resources, and promote environmentally sound policies and sustainable development.
