此課程探討電腦科學相關主題及其應用與發展，除了安排學生簡報所研讀的計算機科學與資訊工程相關主題論文之外，並邀請學術界知名學者或是產業界經驗豐富之實務工作者進行演講與交流，討論計算機科學與資訊工程各個研究領域的現況與趨勢，以增加學生對資訊領域的廣度。

Through research and design, the objective of the course is to study how treehouses can be applied into public use. We wish the proposal become first treehouse sample for public parks/open spaces in Taiwan. Besides, students also learn how to communicate with users and create innovative solutions. The design shall be built with real site at the end of the course.
