An effective central bank digital currency must be able to improve current monetary policy for tackling the problems of unemployment, inflation and economic growth during economic crises. These issues and many are the fundamentals of a central banker’s decision making and furthermore cryptocurrency brings new challenges to central banking system. By the end of the course students should have a solid understanding of these policy making issues with the new challenges from digital world and the ability to use economic way of thinking to explain these issues with confidence to others.
