教育目標

Course description: This micro-credit course titled “From Taiwan to the World” includes a series of lectures in English on the topics of culture, society, environment and economics. Invited speakers include Doug Hebecker (President, AmCham Taichung), Bart Linssen (General Manager, ENERCON), Adam Bell (Director, Global Business Enhancement and Services, Global Water Solutions), Shebby-Ann S.C Dennie (Counsellor, Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines), and Jonathan Hayes (Lecturer, The English Language Center, THU). Students who sign up for this course are required to attend all lectures and write short reports. Students will also be working in small groups to create posters and introduce speakers under the supervision of the instructors. This course adopts the pass/fail grading system. Course objectives: On completion of the course, students are expected to 1) Summarize main points of lectures on a variety of topics; 2) Demonstrate the awareness of social and environmental issues; and 3) Express an increased understanding of the importance of diverse culture.
