The aim of this course is to provide students with an overview of water innovation in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Topics include:
1) Water-related challenges related to scarcity, quality and the allocation of water (e.g. water availability,
water pollution, geopolitics, effects of climate change, aquaculture production facilities).
2) Innovative sustainable eco-technologies for water pollution control
3) Overcoming barriers to innovation
4) Water infrastructure (natural and man-made) for the management of the resource as well as for the
provision of water-related services, including the management of floods and droughts
5) Water governance and policy issues.
