教育目標
By the end of the course, students should achieve the following objectives:
1. To develop an understanding of the cognitive view on reading;
2. To understand the fundamental differences between L1 and L2 reading development;
3. To gain basic familiarity with the theoretical orientations to reading instruction;
4. To evaluate educational materials and resources for teaching reading;
5. To design an EFL reading syllabus and give a teaching demonstration OR to write a reading research proposal and give a oral presentation
課程概述
The purpose of this course is to explore the most significant issues of reading in a second language. Students will become familiar with the similarities and differences between first and second language theories and research on reading. Applications of research findings to pedagogy will also be emphasized.
