教育目標

The goal of the course is for students to have a general understanding of the lexical categories and important grammatical constructions in Mandarin Chinese and to be able to conduct independent research in this area. The course first offers a general review of the organization of grammar and the essential lexical categories in Chinese. We then explore a selected range of important grammatical constructions in Mandarin, including numeral classifiers, types of questions, adjectives, prepositions, localizers, gei, VO constructions, bei and ba, argument realization, among others.
