本課程主旨在於幫助研究生對分子細胞生物學的發現歷史與研究方法論有深入的認識，以期學生瞭解細胞分子作用機轉以及相關之分析技術，本課程以 Molecular Cell Biology (Lodish et al, 6th edition) 為主，上課方式包括演講及口頭報告, 將著重在認識細胞的結構、功能、訊號傳遞及分子調控機制。
本課程主旨在於幫助研究生對分子細胞生物學的發現歷史與研究方法論有深入的認識，以期學生瞭解細胞分子作用機轉以及相關之分析技術，上課內容著重在(1) Cell organization and movement; (2) How cells are integrated into tissues; (3) Molecular genetics; (4) Cell signalings (5) Cell membrane and vesicle trafficking.
