To study the integrated knowledge of microbiology, biochemistry, chemical engineering and basic principles of current bioprocesses. The purpose of the course will be continued on the basis of advanced biochemical engineering. Some special topics will be emphasized and discussed, which include cell immobilization, operating modes, different types of bioreactor, scale up of bioprocess, etc.
