Course Objectives and Content: This one-semester course introduces the basic principles of descriptive and inferential statistics. It introduces fundamental concepts in the application of statistical methods, including data collection, organization, analysis, interpretation, and reporting. The course has two benefits. First, it gives students a foundation for using statistical methods on the job and in more advanced courses. Second, it will give students insights into the statistical results reported by others.
