This course is for people who would like to be able to communicate confidently and effectively when traveling abroad. The emphasis is on developing communication skills that can be put to immediate use in real world situations and an understand authentic English. Students will be exposed to various situations such as asking for information from tourist information offices, checking in at airport, checking in and out of hotel, ordering meals in restaurant, etc. They will be trained and practice role-play of different situations regarding travel throughout the course.
Course Objectives 1. To use a larger repertoire of English expressions in every simulated travel scenario 2. To communicate effectively and appropriately in English while carrying out travel-related tasks 3. To comprehend travel documents 4. To fill out travel forms 5. To gain a broader knowledge and a deeper understanding of the conventions practiced in other cultures Course Contents 1. Listening practice 2. Role plays 3. Oral presentations 4. Discussions 5.
