This course aims to train first-time learners the basic Italian language proficiency. The course applies a communicative approach, and thus students are encouraged to actively participate in the class and interact with other students. Group tasks are also arranged in order to facilitate peer-learning and presentation ability. Four major language abilities (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are exercised during the course. The course itself is also conceived as a first step in order to prepare for CILS (Certificate of Italian as a Foreign Language), Level A1. It is also intended as an introduction to Italian multifarious culture.

1.學習標準義語發音、語調和基礎文法。 2.培養基礎義語聽、說、讀、寫的能力。 3.學習並熟悉義大利相關文化(如義大利歷史、地理、風俗民情、節慶活動、烹飪、藝術、時尚等等)。 The course has practical finalities. By attending it, students will learn how to deal with daily situations such as self-introduction, greetings, taking public transportation, asking directions, visiting museums, attending restaurants and so on within an Italian-speaking environment. Situational learning and role-play methodologies will be implemented in the course. In addition, students will be introduced and to experience a variety of Italian cultures.
