This course is divided into two parts. The first part covers the fundamental concepts of organometallic chemistry: metal-hydrogen and metal-carbon bonds, fundamental reactivity of organometallic complexes and the development of important catalytic processes. The latter half discusses the use of physical organic methods in the determination of reaction mechanism. Examples from organic and organometallic reaction will be highlighted.
