This course provides an overview of the roles, responsibilities, and management methods of the technology project manager. It assumes no prior knowledge in management techniques and is intended to teach students how to develop approaches and styles of management for software projects. The course assumes a basic understanding of analysis techniques.

This course highlights the importance and role of software product management. It also provides an overview of the specialization, as well as its goals, structure, and expectations. The course explains the value of process, requirements, planning, and monitoring in producing better software. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: (1) Relate software product management to better software products. Interacting with a realistic client for the professional career, students will discern what they want and express what they truly need in software requirements to drive software production. (2) Recognize the role of a software product manager. In other words, students will practice and apply management techniques to realistic scenarios that they will face as a Software Product Manager. (3) Be prepared to advance future career as a confident software product management professional. And also students will have the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from the insights of others as part of a Software Product Management.
