The course, ‘English Financial News: A Guide to Informed Investing,’ is designed to equip students with the skills and understanding necessary to navigate financial news, including those related to the stock and bond markets. Throughout this course, students will learn to interpret the implications of the latest financial news without having to rely on second-hand news translated from English to Chinese, which can often be indirect and fragmented. This will enhance their financial literacy and enable them to make informed long-term investment decisions. Additionally, this course will indirectly improve students’ English reading skills.
