Throughout the course, students will engage in various activities, such as self-reflection exercises, group discussions, and practical application assignments. The course also incorporate multimedia resources, and experiential learning activities to enhance students' understanding and skill development in emotional management. I. Introduction to Emotions and Emotional Triggers Understanding emotions: Definition, types, and functions Understanding personal emotional triggers Mindfulness and emotional awareness exercises II Conflict and personal family dynamics Family cohesion and degree of autonomy Personal and family conflict styles III. Emotional Management: The RULER Approach The RULER framework (Recognizing, Understanding, Labeling, Expressing, Regulating) Developing emotional literacy Strategies for emotion regulation (cognitive, behavioral, and physiological) IV. Attachment Styles and Interpersonal Relationships Introduction to attachment theory Types of attachment styles (secure, anxious, avoidant) Impact of attachment styles on relationships V. Emotional Intelligence in Relationships Empathy and perspective-taking Active listening and effective communication Conflict resolution and emotional management in relationships VI. Narrative Psychology and Emotional Management Understanding the role of narratives in emotional experiences Storytelling and personal narratives as tools for emotional exploration VII. Cultivating Emotional Well-being Developing a growth mindset towards emotions Emotional resilience and coping strategies Self-care practices and emotional maintenance
