自信說英語 現階段大學學生學習英語的目的已經開始轉變：從國、高中時期以傳統考試為主的學術型導向跨越至以聽和說為課程進行的媒介。簡言之，英語早已在不自覺中成為你生活中不可或缺的語言。不可否認，英語力就是你的競爭力。因此，你需要良好的英語即時溝通能力來與世界接軌。所以，這門課程的目的就是幫你模擬各式各樣的社交場合與課室簡報、商務場合溝通合作，每課提供不同的主題，以實用單字與口語化句型，幫助你練習道地英語對話，運用自身經歷應對、協商解決問題，並提出建議延續話題，使你具有自信參與或主導不同日常情境。 Speak up with Confidence This course emphasizes building students' capacity in English communication skills and enhancing their language abilities. Through various topics incorporated into daily lessons, such as socializing and interacting with different people in a variety of occasions, students can learn to use idiomatic and appropriate English to handle various situations. Additionally, students will practice through peer learning, with support from the teacher to facilitate and boost their confidence in speaking. This will help reduce their anxiety when speaking English.

課程概述

「大二英文」是一個以學習者為中心的模組化課程。針對學生個人學習興趣及相關系所之專業需求，開設四大模組課程，分別為「職涯與專業」、「日常溝通」、「多元文化」以及「自我表達技巧」。四大模組分別由具有共同核心目標但涵蓋不同主題之課程所建構而成。所有的課程均以學期為單位，學生可以根據個別興趣及需求，於上、下學期選擇兩門不同的模組課程。本課程將以25人小班制進行互動式教學，結合討論、展演及實作等各類學習活動，讓學生能在更多元、自主的學習語境中，具體強化其英語文溝通能力。 本課程屬於「日常溝通」模組，強調英語學習與真實生活的連結，透過各種對話範例與練習讓學生將所學運用於日常生活中。除了日常生活詞彙外，常用口語和慣用語也是本模組所要涵蓋的核心內容。 The SENM program is a student-centered module-based program which offers students choices and small, interactive classes. The program encourages students to tailor their English learning to their specific needs and interests by offering four semester-based modules: Career and Profession, Daily Communication, Multiculturalism, and Self-Expression Skills. Additionally, within each of the four modules, there are different themes, or topics, around which each course‘s curriculum is built. Each SENM student can choose two different module courses in one academic year according to their needs and interests. The program’s small class size (no more than 25 students) means that a variety of class activities such as discussions, role plays, and presentations are an integral part of the program. This specific course belongs to the Daily Communication Module. This module emphasizes real-life English for effective communication. It provides conversation models and practices for a variety of common scenarios in everyday life. Apart from daily-life vocabulary, frequently-used colloquial and idiomatic expressions are the two major language components covered. Course Objectives: On completion of the course, students should be able to 1) use effectively the vocabulary and expressions acquired in the course to address daily-life topics; 2) use spontaneously the conversation strategies acquired in the course to initiate, sustain, and end communication; 3) communicate with others effectively in various daily-life situations; and 4) express themselves in English more confidently.
