This course offers a concise introduction to the essential concepts and methods of argumentation in the generative structuralist approach to grammar. We will focus on the Chomskyan Principles and Parameters framework of transformational syntax. The course proceeds by following the chapters in Carnie 2013. (Please note that the main textbook will be the 2013 edition, i.e., the 3rd edition, and not the 1st or the 2nd edition.)
