At the end of this course, students enrolled in Engineering Economics will be able to assess various alternatives for making economic decisions for engineering and other projects. Using analytical methods and spreadsheets, they will be able to identify a most suitable alternative amongst various available. The fundamental tool used in this study is the time value of money. The decision-making involving estimates also takes into consideration factors such as inflation, depreciation, taxes, risk and uncertainty.
