Creativity 10 How novel is the design innovation and/or biological inspiration for future earth or interplanetary inhabitations?

Specific learning objectives for the design studio include the followings: Create nature-inspired innovation (installations, architecture or groups of architecture, urban and spatial design or design system) that create pathway(s) to sustainability and resilient design by: Helping homeland communities adapt to or mitigate future impacts (i.e. those forecasted or already in motion), and/or reversing or slowing down negative elements (e.g. by removing excess greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere). Students are to adopt measures and adapt learning strategies useful for the following design studio outcome expectations:
 a). Identify and solve a specific sustainability or resilient design problem within the nature’s operation or effects on built environment;  b). Intentionally emulate one or more mechanisms, processes, patterns, or systems found in nature by consulting biologists, and any other specialists necessary;
 c). Move on to develop rapid prototyping based on nature's wisdom and translate meaningfully to creative design emulation; 
 d). Enhance adaptability, sustainability, aesthetic and resiliency of nexus design; and
 e). Consider urban resilience system challenges and leverage points for adaptability, recovery and even future survival simulations in urban designing.
