This course introduces students to the fundamentals of research, helping them explore potential project directions and begin developing their own ideas. Students will learn how to identify and formulate research problems, search for and interpret relevant scientific literature, and understand the structure of research documents, including how to write research objectives, outcomes, and proposals. By the end of the course, students will understand: 1. The nature of scientific research and scientific work 2. How to select a research topic and write a preliminary research proposal 3. How to conduct a literature search 4. How to structure a project proposal 5. How to present a project proposal
