教育目標

The course “Leaders and Global Citizen” is a mandatory course and explores the contemporary question of leadership and global citizenship in the 21th century, focusing on the skills and responsibilities needed to be a leader in an interconnected world amid global crisis. Through case studies (leaders´ biographies and historical decisions) and interactive discussions, students will engage in questions like what it means to be a responsible leader and global citizen and what are the qualities and defining characteristics of a leader. Examples of leaders in the past should be subject to discussion and examinations. This lecture aims to enhance students' understanding of leadership for today´s international community

課程概述

This course will enable students to develop knowledge, skills, and better understanding of the wider world - and their place in it. As leaders of tomorrow, young people can make a positive difference - and help build a fairer, safer, and more sustainable and secure world. The first part of the course will focus on the characteristics of leaders, and empowering of students to develop communication, networking and negotiation skills necessary for becoming leader in the contemporary society. Guided by the UNESCOs Education 2030 Agenda and Framework for Action, in particular the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on Education, the second part of the course will provide students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to effective protection, management and conservation of water, land, air and living resources, and promote environmentally sound policies and sustainable development.
