Tunghai Academic Exploration is a first year course for all students enrolled in IDP. It is an English immersion course. The theme of the course is Academic Exploration. This 3 credit course for students in the IDP Program will feature speakers from different departments at Tunghai University. Each week a speaker would introduce their department and talk about possible careers after graduation. They will also talk about what they look for in students and to apply to their department.
Tunghai Academic Exploration is a first-year course for all students enrolled in IDP. It is an English immersion course. This 3-credit course for students in the IDP Program will feature speakers from different departments at Tunghai University who will introduce their academic discipline. The goal of the course is for students to develop a deeper understanding of the different disciplines available for them to pursue at Tunghai so that they can make an informed choice about the extremely important decision of what to study. In this course, we will therefore not simply learn about different majors in terms of career possibility; students will also consider the contribution of each discipline to human society and human knowledge, as well as how studying a particular discipline will shape their own thinking, provide them with specific tools of thought, and contribute to the person they will end up becoming as a result of their choice of major.
None
