教育目標

課程內涵： 1. 產權、交易成本與制度如何影響經濟行爲（消費和生產）與經濟成長、 How property rights, transaction costs, and institutions affect economic behavior (e.g., consumption and production) and economic development; 2. 政策的意外後果，以及 Unintended consequences of policies; and 3. 土地利用規劃與永續發展的產權性方案 Property rights solutions in land use planning and sustainable development

課程概述

本課程帶領學生超越新古典經濟學的假設，探索制度——即社會的正式與非正式規則——如何形塑經濟表現與長期發展。課程結合產權經濟學、交易成本理論以及新制度經濟學，讓學生探討所有權結構、治理機制與法律框架如何影響誘因設計、資源配置與總體繁榮。 我們將分析如羅納德·寇斯（Ronald Coase）、道格拉斯·諾斯（Douglass North）及伊莉諾·奧斯特羅姆（Elinor Ostrom）等學者的重要著作，並結合當代關於全球化、環境永續及科技變革背景下制度設計的討論。透過涵蓋土地制度、自然資源管理及數位經濟的案例研究，學生可以理解制度如何影響現實世界結果。 This course takes students beyond neo-classical economic assumptions and explores how institutions—formal and informal rules of society—shape economic performance and long-term development. Drawing on insights from property rights economics, transaction cost theory, and neo-institutional economics, students will examine how ownership structures, governance mechanisms, and legal frameworks influence incentives, resource allocation, and collective prosperity. We will analyze seminal works by scholars such as Ronald Coase, Douglass North, and Elinor Ostrom, alongside contemporary debates on institutional design in the context of globalization, environmental sustainability, and technological change. Through case studies spanning land tenure systems, natural resource management, and digital economies, students will gain practical tools for understanding how institutional arrangements affect real-world outcomes.
