1. Critically interpret the comics medium and develop a working understanding of the use of images in communicating knowledge 2. Identify and explain the key principles of storytelling and communication through the medium of comics 3. Independently identify and analyze existing works within the comics literature, and gain skills necessary to communicate issues through sequential images 4. Demonstrate practical skills necessary for producing various types of zines (small-circulation self-published work of texts and images) 5. Reflect on learning experience by evaluating strengths and weaknesses, and plan to improve academic and/or professional skills in the future
