The purpose of this course is designed to help students learn what they need to know about database management system and how they can be used to solve business problems in today Internet environment. At the end of this course, students should be able to evaluate a business situation, plan and build database applications. The major focuses of this course will be on the use of relational database technology for building applications, as it is what students will encounter in businesses today. Therefore, students need to master three specific areas of knowledge: database plan and design concepts, methodology, and the use of database analysis and design tools.
