This course first introduces the core technologies and services of cloud computing. Topics include the definition of cloud computing, an introduction to cloud tech and services, technical layers, hardware infrastructure, virtualization and Docker containers, software service layers, security issues, and performance challenges in cloud computing. Next, we will dive into case studies of trending cloud applications. By analyzing academic papers, patents, and various online resources, we will explore their architectural designs and key technologies. Finally, leveraging existing cloud platforms, students will work in groups to design and develop a small-scale final project.
