** Course Objectives This course aims to provide a thorough understanding of International Human Resource Management (IHRM), focusing on HRM’s strategic role in global business, cross-cultural management, and effective international workforce practices. ** Course Contents Topics include the IHRM context, global workforce management, sourcing for global markets, performance management, international training and development, global talent management, compensation, and emerging IHRM challenges. ------- ** Important Course Enrollment Information - Grading policies are detailed in the course syllabus. - Attendance is determined solely by iLearn records from the first week of the semester; exchange students follow the Office of International Relations (OIR) arrangements. - The grading formula includes a built-in absence allowance; only excess absences affect the grade — Student Information System (SIS) leave submissions are not factored into the calculation. - If SIS leave registration is institutionally required, complete it within the university-stipulated timeframe; do not request leave from the instructor by email. - Online instruction is not currently planned; any changes will be communicated via official announcement; online classes are not available upon individual request. - Tardiness or early departure may be logged on the iLearn system without prior warning and will be accessible for student review; no further notification will be issued by the instructor. - If special circumstances apply, please contact the course instructor.
