This course will enable students to develop knowledge, skills, and better understanding of the wider world - and their place in it. As leaders of tomorrow, young people can make a positive difference - and help build a fairer, safer, and more sustainable and secure world. The first part of the course will focus on the characteristics of leaders, and empowering of students to develop communication, networking and negotiation skills necessary for becoming leader in the contemporary society. Guided by the UNESCOs Education 2030 Agenda and Framework for Action, in particular the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on Education, the second part of the course will provide students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to effective protection, management and conservation of water, land, air and living resources, and promote environmentally sound policies and sustainable development.

Students will study interpersonal skills, motivation, ethical influence, transformational leadership, and followership. Through case studies, leadership narratives, group projects, and practical scenarios, students will apply leadership principles to real-world situations. The course also introduces adaptive leadership for navigating complexity, uncertainty, resistance, and change.
