The United Nations proposed the "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) in 2015 with the vision of achieving sustainable development by 2030. The goals include realizing "prosperity," "fairness," and "environmental sustainability." Among the 17 indicators, they are classified into three major categories: "Environment," "Society," and "Governance," collectively known as ESG. As global citizens, we all bear a responsibility for the sustainability of the environment and society. Also one of the goals of Tunghai University is to develop a society and ecology that prioritizes human well-being, creating a green campus. The university aims to nurture students who are both knowledgeable and ethical, capable of balancing environmental and social considerations in their practical endeavors. The goal of this course is to understand 17 goals of sustainability and strategies to achieve sustainability.
