解析繪畫造形、材質、技法在各個時期面對不同的目的與條件，所呈現的樣貌及思想變遷，藉由造形研究，認識不同技法與色彩的運用，師生共同討論引導學生表現自我創作，研究繪畫主題、內容與形式之間的關係。

本課程旨在協助碩士在職專班階段的修課學生，在平面的繪畫創作上，透過個人對作品發展脈絡的梳理，找到這一階段創作的獨特語言，並嘗試著在現有的基礎上，進行系統性的媒材實驗，結合美術士的實踐，結合現當代藝術中的風格進行探索，並實踐在個人創作上。
