Objective:
To help students to acquire the knowledge of the current computing technology and the basic ability of performing numerical computations.
Course Outline:
The syllabus includes the basic knowledge of computers, operating systems, programming language (in particular F90) and its applications on physics.
I. Principle of computing:
History of computer, data representation, data operation, computer hardware and software.
II. Linux operating system:
Basic Linux commands, file system, vi editor
III. Fortran 90 programming language:
Data types, expressions and statements, input and output, logical operations, function and procedure.
