Annotated bibliography & reading list	25	This is a list of sources you have read about your topic, plus brief summaries about them.
6-8 page research paper	40	This is a research paper that gives a thesis about a research topic and then develops and provides evidence for it.
Oral presentation	10	This is a 5-10 minute speech (with Powerpoint) that briefly explains your research paper contents.

教育目標

By the end of this course, you should be able to 1) conduct research independently on a topic, 2) write a research paper presenting your research and argument following current academic standards of presentation, and 3) properly cite your sources of information and avoid plagiarism. In the first semester, you learned the basic skills and principles that you will need to do and write research. In the second semester, you will learn how to develop your own research topic and argument and how to use the skills and principles from the first semester to do your own research and write a research paper.
