Class Participation and Attendance	40	If you are absent THREE times throughout the semester without a legitimate reason, you will be penalized with FIVE point deduction off your final grade.
Individual Abstract	40	Students are expected to develop a proper English abstract related to their research topic.
Pop exams/Homework Assignment / Readings	20	Homework /Assignments will be given throughout the semester

教育目標

課程概述

Principle of English writing is to help students to develop professional academic writing abilities and enhance the English skill. This course also teaches students not just what an academic writing should look like, but what it should convey. To develop copy editing skills in a technical manuscript in terms of (a) translation errors made from Chinese to English and (b) general writing style errors. To organize and write a research paper or work report in a time-efficient manner. By the end of semester students will develop their abilities to write up a proper abstract and summery of the working paper.
