Class Participation and Attendance	30	The learning process for this course will be primarily driven by class discussion.
Individual Abstract and Summery	40	Write up a proper abstract and summery of the working paper is designed to give students an opportunity to be innovative and apply the concepts learned in class to their study.
Working Paper Presentation	20	Oral presentation of working paper (power point and oral presentation)
Pop exams/Homework Assignment / Readings	10	Sometimes you will also be asked to prepare for a short presentation.

教育目標

Principle of English writing is to help students to develop professional academic writing abilities and enhance the English skill. This course also teaches students not just what an academic writing should look like, but what it should convey. To develop copy editing skills in a technical manuscript in terms of (a) translation errors made from Chinese to English and (b) general writing style errors. To organize and write a research paper or work report in a time-efficient manner. By the end of semester students will develop their abilities to write up a proper abstract and summery of the working paper.
