教育目標

It is an obvious that contemporary architectural research or architectural design cannot be reduced to a singular trajectory of thought and analysis. Nowadays the practice of architectural design is difficult to merely follow one theoretical structure or any certain disciplinary form. Apparently, nowadays architectural design has become a complex issue that architects must formulate a consistent investigative agenda constructed out of discontinuous parts in interdisciplinary. This course is aiming to help participants with striving towards their own program indicate of how to structure any attempt towards an implied ‘discursive whole’, based on the incorporation of the diversification of architectural knowledge, tools and methods. This course is composed by three parts which are seminar, curriculum on urban design and research and exhibition & promotion respectively. First, the key principle of seminar is based on a series of readings to think about contemporary architectural discourse. Secondary, participants are going to have a series of lecture related to urban mapping by instructor and then they would be requested to generate a mapping for their own research/ thesis project. Lastly, all participants have to curate their own mapping together as one ‘contemporary thesis atlas’.
