教育目標

The main objective of this course is to introduce stud ents to various aspects of academic texts on the theoretical philosophy of architectural design. Students will be introduced to the features of academic texts. They will also read different kinds of academic texts related to architectural theory and philosophy and discuss the contents o f these texts. Students will learn to approach academic texts on architectural theory critically and at the same time strengthen their skills in reading, analyzing and discussing these books and articles. Active participation is essential to the success of this class. 1. Geometric Paradigm in Architectural Philosophy 2. Architectural Crisis and Paradigm Shift towards Machine Aesthetic 3. From Paradigm Shift of Expressionism to Deconstructive Architecture 4. Return to Architectural Ontology and Transcendental Phenomenology 5. Phenomenology of Body Experience 6. Freedom of Architectural Language Expression 7. From Social Communication of Architectural Structuralism to Users’ Presiding Over 8. The Role of Architect as a Social Cultural Critique

課程概述

本課程旨在結合系所培養目標,提升學生的批判性思考與辯證能力,透過與建築相關的哲學文本探討,探討其對建築設計的啟發、影響與參照,進一步重新思考建築設計可能承載的多重意義。本課程內容分為以下三部分。(一)哲學範疇與基本問題:從哲學概論、哲學史與邏輯等基礎知識切入,探討建築設計過程中涉及的哲學範疇與基本問題,包括空間、形式、功能與美學等議題,建立哲學與建築設計對話的基礎。(二)現象學方法、身體與場所:以胡塞爾、梅洛龐蒂與海德格等現象學家的核心文本為依據,反思二十世紀以來現象學對建築思維的深遠影響,特別關注身體經驗、感知與場所意義在設計中的重要性。(三)當代哲學文本選讀:面對當代建築所思考的問題或參照的哲學研究,課程將挑選李歐塔、傅柯、德勒茲與德希達等當代哲學家的重要文本,探索建築意義的更多可能性,並激發學生從哲學的視角重新審視建築設計中的概念建構與思想創造過程。本課程藉由上述規劃,期望能從哲學理論與方法的探討,啟發學生對建築設計的多維度思考,並提供具創造性與批判性的思想基礎。
