教育目標

to develop the skills needed to understand and appreciate English poetry to learn and practice the basic techniques of close reading – reading with careful attention to the formal and semantic features of a literary work to express well-supported ideas about the poems, both orally and in writing

課程概述

Introduction to Literature 2 is a required course. The goal of this course is to help students become more familiar with the nature of western literature (in this semester the genre of poetry). Students will be introduced to stylistic features, symbolism, meter, rhythm, etc. The course gives students an opportunity to read the works written by internationally acclaimed literary figures, as well as teaches them certain important skills needed in analyzing and criticizing literature.
