課程概述

This course serves as an introduction to the classroom methods and communicative style of the teacher, as well as an introduction to Broadway/West End musicals. It focuses on the lyrics and stories of some well-known musicals (such as Cats or Phantom of the Opera), on some famous composers (such as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Sondheim, or Webber), and the songs, lyrics, and singers of Broadway. The course uses small-group seminar discussion methods, class discussions, and group presentations. No previous experience with Broadway/West End musicals is necessary, but a high level of personal motivation is important for the classroom process.
