教育目標

This course introduces students to the design and implementation of grid computing and applications. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to do the following: 1 Understand grid computing abstractions and technology 2 Understand grid middleware, like Globus 3 Understand grid applications 4 Understand the components of computational grids and data grids 5 Understand how to install and setup a computational grid 6 Understand how to install and setup a Hadoop data grid 7 Understand parallel programming on a grid 8 Understand how to perform information monitoring on a grid

課程概述

Both Grid computing and its applications are areas of rapid technical developments. Many technical developments are still in flux. We investigate resource management and scheduling, remote data access, network and other information monitoring issues, as well as software architecture and programming models for grid. The course consists of an introductory lecture, grid computing environment installation and setup.
