教育目標

(1)探討今日我們所稱之為心智障礙，特別是語言與社交障礙，種種類別在前現代社會的文化史比較研究。 (2)探討十九世紀與廿世紀Asylum（療養院/收容院）相關的制度、言說與專業知識形構，包括精神醫學、認知心理學、教育與特殊教育等。 (3)探討Civil Incapacity 的知識建構，新自由主義治理性對於受援助人口 (the assisted population)基於類別建構的排出性整合。
